The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is having a very special meeting this Wednesday (tomorrow!) at 2 p.m. to discuss the Strategic Priority Framework for the year 2016. You can view the full document detailing the goals our Supervisors will prioritize for the year here.
It’s a pretty short document, but here’s a quick tidbit that THC found interesting:
Do several of these goals seem a little conflicting? THC sure thinks so, especially considering the way that the County has “invested” in County employees over the last few years. As in, they’ve invested in hiring more of them, and paying all of them even more, also.
So much for sustainable services! At least all that revenue from the 5% of growers who will register to legally farm cannabis this year will be able to save the County, right?
Oh crap it won’t? Somebody should have told the Supes.
As for “Streamline county processes and to facilitate new living-wage private sector jobs” and “Safeguard the public trust”…well, here:
THC will have more to come following tomorrow’s meeting. Stay tuned!
