Supervisors to discuss Strategic Framework 2016, new ways to completely fail Humboldt County

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is having a very special meeting this Wednesday (tomorrow!) at 2 p.m. to discuss the Strategic Priority Framework for the year 2016. You can view the full document detailing the goals our Supervisors will prioritize for the year here.

It’s a pretty short document, but here’s a quick tidbit that THC found interesting:

framework snipDo several of these goals seem a little conflicting? THC sure thinks so, especially considering the way that the County has “invested” in County employees over the last few years. As in, they’ve invested in hiring more of them, and paying all of them even more, also.

So much for sustainable services! At least all that revenue from the 5% of growers who will register to legally farm cannabis this year will be able to save the County, right?

Oh crap it won’t? Somebody should have told the Supes.

As for “Streamline county processes and to facilitate new living-wage private sector jobs” and “Safeguard the public trust”…well, here:

THC will have more to come following tomorrow’s meeting. Stay tuned!

  1. SAM says:

There ‘ya go. . . when you’ve got nothing on your record that you have done right you throw a lot of pasta and see what’ll stick. No, you say? Ok. Then how realistic is it for the Supervisors to micromanage issues, people and services things it does not provide? How realistic is it to blather on for HOURS about this feel good crap, eh? Try doing your jobs part time at minimum wage and having 1 maybe 2 meetings a month wherein you actually WORK at something. No, no taking credit for others labors….. what a bunch of lack-luster idiots.
